| For a stock unmodified engine, yes the tiny creature hids itself well. =) You can find it by scrutinizing the side where the engine slant downwards. The Turbo is just beside the engine hidden under a heat shield ( if you engine is stock) Most S13 probably had the heat shield removed ages ago. =) Hope this helps =) | |

| I think you will probably find more reliable help by directing your query to Apexi itself. I am using the 2nd generation of S-AFC ( and still is ). You did not mention anything about the version of the SAFC so I would rather not comment on the wiring and setup to be safe. Sorry Dude. | |

| Comments: | Good day, i own a 180sx with an sr20det engine. i recently installed a t3/t4 turbo and would like to continue by installing a set of MSD 680 injectors which i currently have. i cannot get my hands on a Z32 air flow sensor at the moment but would still like to continue with the injector installation. Could you please send me specific details on every aspect on how to set up my s-afc (which i allready have installed. The car needs to be reliable as well as efficient as its an everyday work car. I have a hks gt2510 and the stock maf is not allowing it to suck as much as it can. without the body mods and black roof. Well done! I like it's "understated"
exterior. Meaning that it looks like an "R" version of an 180SX,

It is my second and god knows I understand your addiction to this car ;). I was wondering what body kit you have on yours, it is real nice, not to much "over the top" it's just right. Also the paint job is beautyful, what color is it exactly? I could send you photos of my s13 if you are interested... not seen a single 200sx that has been to my liking as much as yours. I
was also massively relieved to see that your car doesn't have any horrid
features like a massive spoiler (yours is decent sized and should under
no circumstances be any bigger), ugly graphics, neon lighting, etc.
Continue making the "good" modifications and remember to keep posting new
pics of your 200. By the way, your site is great for spreading the great legend that is Silvia. While it's quite sad that Nissan has no intention of producing future models, sites like this one will help to preserve greatness of this car. |

Hi Alexis,
The setup of the Apexi SAFC II is documented under Apexi website. Below is the link in PDF: http://www.apexi-usa.com/pdf/technicalDocumentation/202.pdf If you are inquiring about my correction values in my SAFC, I would not want to share those with you. The reason being that the values were determined base on my hardware setup in my car and the climate conditions that I am running in. The climate of your country will differs from mine. It is advisable to hand the job of proper SAFC tuning to a renown workshop in your country. | Comments: | I have no cat, and because here i canot shape 3" pipe i decided to use 2 pipes of 1,5" or a bit larger i tried the thing with the Sleepy Eye on my 200SX RS13, i found that 2 switchs, but i could not lower my head lights, i turn the swich anticlock, as the arow on them shows and afthe ri turn them 180 degrees the swich jump back by himself and i canot rotate him more. i wanted to say that io canot rotate the swich more then 180 degres, because he jump back , i tried to keep the swich harder with my fingers not to jumb back, but it sems there are a lot of power and i because i did not want to brake something i did not force the swich more. any ideea or could u discrive how that slepy eye can be done exactly |

| Reply to Mircea : | Hi Mircea, Basically, if the engine is running a bigger turbo, the volume of compress air coming out of the bigger compressor housing on the turbo would be larger. Therefore, the amount of revolutions that is needed to draw that amount of air is less. In that way, the compressor on turbo does not work that much harder to reach that amount of boost in the throttle body. When the turbo does not work harder, it tends to lengthen the life of the turbo. Another way to look at it, is that when the turbo works harder, it will generate more heat and these heat is inevitably transfer to the closest media, that is the air. So When the air is further compress, temperature raises more. It will then pass through the intercooler where it will reach the throttle body in the end for combustion. If the turbo itself does not generate that much more heat, it naturally cools more after the intercooler before it is fed to the combustion chamber. Therefore in some ways, yes, a bigger turbo does generate more power at the same boost compare to a smaller turbo. As for the exhaust, you may like to try a 2.5" mandrel down pipe, lose the cat converter and then go 3" all the way to the muffler. Remember to use mandrel bending on the piping. This will help you keep a reasonably good low end torque and a good high end boost. |
